The reappointment follows a five-year performance review as required by the Georgia Tech Faculty Handbook. The review committee commended Alavi’s contributions to the College and called out several achievements including the increase in rankings, growth in quality and diversity of the flagship full-time MBA program, advocacy for gender equality and women in business, and notable outreach to the business community and alumni.

I am proud of the College’s accomplishments including the many contributions of faculty, staff, and students, and I am grateful to Provost Bras for his support and leadership,” said Alavi. “I look forward to advancing our trajectory towards becoming a leading business school of the 21st century. The College will continue to attract world-class and diverse faculty, students, and talented staff thanks to the ongoing support of our distinguished benefactors, alumni, corporate partners, and friends.”
